Cancelling a Booking reservation in the event of a no-show by the customer

Updated over 3 months ago

This function consists of cancelling a reservation made on Booking.com when the customer who booked one of your services does not show up at your establishment without cancelling their reservation. You will be able to apply your cancellation fees in order to bill the customer who did not show up and who did not inform you that they wanted to cancel their booking.

This cancellation is automatically notified to Booking.com in order to update the customer's file.

IMPORTANT: as a no-show is the customer's failure to arrive at the establishment on the start date of the stay defined in the booking, it is of course not possible to cancel the booking for this reason before the stay has begun. Such cancellations can only be made in your elloha account on the day following the customer's arrival as originally scheduled in the booking.

To cancel a reservation made on the Booking.com website, you must proceed as follows:

  • In the Main Menu, click on Bookings

  • On the My Reservations page, click on the reservation in question,

  • On the details page, click on Cancel

  • Tick the file line(s) to be cancelled

  • Specify that the customer has not shown up (No Show)

2 cancellation methods are possible:

  • Complete cancellation of the booking

  • Partial cancellation of the reservation file, which allows you to cancel one or more file lines

These 2 cancellation methods are subject to cancellation fees.

After the booking has been cancelled in its entirety, the customer will receive 2 email confirmations of the cancellation for no -show: one from you via your elloha account and the other from Booking inviting the customer to confirm the no-show at your establishment (see example below).

In the event of a partial cancellation of the booking file, it is not possible to select both offers from Booking and offers added by you after the customer has booked. A message will be sent to you in this case (see below).
