Booking.com, the world leader in online accommodation reservations, is opening up its catalogue to you. You will be able to integrate hotel establishments that are not accessible via existing gateways into your destination site booking engines.
Booking.com's usual commissions will apply to these bookings. And Booking will pay you part of this commission!
On the subject of the Booking commission, it should be noted that, depending on sales volumes, the cost to the establishment may be lower than thecost of opening the elloha channel charged by certain publishers as part of a direct gateway with elloha.
More than just generating sales volume, the incoming Booking connector gives visibility to all the hotels of your choice on your destination sites. This is a prerequisite for triggering direct sales to these establishments. Remember that 27% of internet users consult the Booking OTA site before booking directly with the hotelier.
The aim of the incoming Booking connector is to
Enable all hotels in a region to be visible on the booking engines of a DMO website,
To have a reliable and exhaustive catalogue,
Not to be dependent on the authorisation of the hotel publisher,
Choose who to publish and who not to publish.
Part of the Booking commission paid to the DMO
Booking pays the distributor (the DMO who generated the BEs from which the sales originated) part of the commission for the bookings made,
Two annual thresholds:
from 0 to 30,000 euros => 2.5
+ over €30,000 => 4%,
In order to avoid micro-payments, the commission paid to the DMO is set at a minimum of €100, i.e. €4,000 worth of files.
elloha takes care of the carry-over from one year to the next, up to a minimum of €100, so that each TDR can benefit even in the medium term.
Thresholds :
Annual turnover | Com % VAT | Com incl. VAT | Excl. tax | |
Threshold 1 | 0 to €30,000 | 2,50% | 750,00 € | 625,00 € |
Threshold 2 | More than €30,000 | 4,00% | 1 200,00 € | 1 000,00 € |
Option #1 - How do I connect Booking products directly?
If you have a main or partner TDR licence and you would like to connect these new establishments to your marketplace, please ask us via the Zendesk ticketing tool by email to [email protected].
Within a maximum of 48 hours, we will provide you witha personalised login and password so that you can connect to a Network Header listing the catalogue of French hotels distributed on Booking.com.
You will be able to connect to this TDR and activate your DMO channel for all the establishments of your choice at the level of each file, tab Sales channels/My local channels:
Once the channel has been activated, on D+1, the establishment will be available in the form of a listing in your Network Head and will be able to go straight to your booking engines (on the same principle as the listings in the GDF-ITEA Gestloc, SPI LS or ex Hotel Beds catalogue).
You do not need an elloha account to connect a Booking Entrant hotel.
If your Booking-Engine (BE) is filtered on Tag Selections , the Booking records will have to be tagged from your TDR. We invite you to create a new "Incoming Booking" tab and to tag the establishments in the shared Excel files made available to you for your gateway accounts so that you can keep the idOI you need for your SIT. And, to avoid duplication, do not activate the connection of Booking records that you are already reporting via elloha, elloha-Availpro/Dedge or hotel PMS connectivity accounts .
Connected Booking establishments are taken into account when calculating the maximum number of accounts in your elloha Network Head licence contract. Please note that a change of band may impact your annual invoice.
Option #2 - How do I synchronise an elloha account with a Booking product?
If you want to have control over the description, photos, facilities, add a concierge service, etc. and personalise the product that comes up in your booking engine, you can also ask for an elloha account to be synchronised with the Booking file of your choice. Provided that it is available in the Network Header of the incoming Booking catalogue.
This type of "Incoming Connector" sync is detailed here.
If you wish to synchronise an elloha account directly, you must send your request to connectivité@elloha.com with the idOI of the elloha account (the SIT records must first be transformed) and the name of the establishment or even its URL on the Booking.com website.
What information is displayed in the Booking records?
elloha uploads the catalogue of French Booking hotels as is (description, offers, rates, stocks, cancellation conditions, etc.) which you can consult on the https://www.booking.com website and cannot intervene in the feed made available.
Booking.com will not respond to our requests to modify photos, rates or any other information. Only the establishment concerned will be able to make changes to its offers on the OTA website.
Manual changes to a file from your TDR or Booking Entrant TDR will be overwritten by the next import.
How do I identify the Booking products entering my TDR?
All the products in the Booking Entrant connector have the "Booking IN" marketing tag .
You can list these records from your Network Head via the TAGS/Marketing Tags filter block:
How can I track sales of Booking IN products?
You can use the "Booking IN" tag and create a filtered selection based on this tag in your TDR:
Find out more about filtering by tag: Create a Selection by tag or territory to filter a TDR BE
Once the Selection has been created, you can filter your Distribution reports on this Selection so that only the sales of incoming Booking products are listed:

How does the pro get paid for his booking?
Booking hotels are booked in the same way as any other BE product. The bank card entered by the customer in the elloha booking engine is sent directly to Booking, which makes it available to the pro in its Booking interface.
The establishment connected via the incoming Booking does not have an elloha account and cannot therefore connect to the application to take payment. elloha does not manage the collection of reservations from the incoming Booking connector.
What information is sent to the customer by email?
Following a reservation on your BE, the customer receives :
an elloha confirmation email with the booking summary and the usual elloha voucher,
an email from Booking as if the customer had booked directly on the OTA website:
In the event of cancellation or date changes?
Once the file has been created on your elloha Network Head booking engine, it is the pro who can manage the file from Booking.com in direct contact with his customer.
The elloha network head is not supposed to cancel incoming Booking files at the request of the customer, who must contact the establishment directly. The cancellation generated from the file in elloha will not be taken into account.
If the customer asks for the file to be cancelled, this can be done directly from the Booking confirmation received by email. In this case, the pro will receive this request in his Booking.com interface and can process it in the same way as any other cancellation.
In the event of a request to change the dates of the stay, the customer can alsocontact the pro via the Booking form received by email. There is no need for the DMO to intervene.
From the Booking email, customers can access their customer area on the OTA website:
And can interact with the hotelier using all the functions offered by Booking:
