If you don't already have a payment terminal (provided by your bank) or don't want to use it for your online bookings, you can take out theStripe option and cash in your deposits and cancellation fees directly from elloha :
It can be set up immediately,
The funds are collected directly from elloha,
The funds collected are paid to you within a maximum of 10 working days (deadlines imposed by Stripe),
It only costs you 3% of the amount collected
Example: you receive a booking for 200€ but you only collect 60€ and the balance is paid directly to you when the customer arrives: you only pay 60€ x 3% charges, i.e. 1.80€
To collect your deposit and cancellation charges :
In the Main Menu, click on Reservations
On the My Sales Files page, click on the file line of your choice or on the View button
If the file is in Open status, you can click on "Immediate Payment". We strongly recommend that you collect the full amount no later than the day of arrival.
Enter the amount to be debited,
Once the direct debit has been confirmed, the details of the booking will be displayed:
The amount debited,
The payment charges,
The net amount (amount debited - charges), which will be paid into your bank account within 10 days
IMPORTANT: your customer may be asked for3DS authentication at the time of collection. If this is not returned, you can collect the amount using a new bank card by deleting the relevant collection line in this Payment History module by clicking on the link marked with a dustbin.
Please note
For security reasons, at no time do you have access to the customer's bank details, which are stored by Stripe: this method of operation is therefore more in line with current and future security standards.
It may happen that a direct debit cannot be made because the customer's bank refuses (insufficient funds, customer's objection, etc.): in this case, an error message is displayed in the Booking Details tab. In such a situation, we recommend that you contact the customer directly (their contact details are displayed on this screen) to have the booking confirmed and guaranteed by another means (bank transfer, cheque, etc.). Otherwise, we strongly recommend that youcancel the booking.
