Some banks (CIC-Crédit Mutuel-Société Générale), when using 3D-Secure payment, displayed a recurring direct debit message until the end of the card's validity. This may not have reassured customers, and they stopped their payment.
In conjunction with the banks, and to comply with the 3D Secure v2 banking protocol, Paybox-Vérifone has updated its code. The aim is to avoid these windows, which lead to a drop in the conversion rate of web sales files.
elloha has followed Verifone's instructions to integrate this change on 15 June 2025 for all elloha customers who have activated the Paybox option by this date.
If you took out a Paybox contract after 15 June 2025, you should check with Paybox that the PBX_USE_CASE=1 option is activated on your contract.
With this change to your Paybox payment gateway, the buyer must now give their consent to the storage of their bank card details.
When the Paybox-Verifone payment page is called up (redirection to the credit card entry page) elloha transmits data concerning the payment, the vad contract and the customer.
In return for the payment, information is transmitted to the retailer's business application to validate the reservation or not. In this data, the Paybox-Verifone application asks for the credit card to be registered.
Customer consent is a legal requirement. Hence the tick box on the Paybox-Verifone form.
Note that registering the customer's card allows :
-a subsequent payment for partial prepaid files
-a refund in all cases.
