Cashing in a deposit

Your booking engine works in postpaid mode: this means that the customer pays nothing at the time of booking, but guarantees their booking to you by providing their bank details and agreeing, if necessary, to be debited for all or part of the sums they owe you.

These bank details are communicated to you in ultra-secure mode and are used, where appropriate, to debit the sums due.

In general, in postpaid mode, the customer pays you at check-in or check-out (i.e. when they arrive or leave your establishment) using the means of payment that you have declared that you accept: cash, bank cards, cheques, holiday vouchers, gift vouchers, etc.

There are several cases where you can collect a deposit or the full amount:

  • If you have specified this in your general terms and conditions or your special terms and conditions of sale: for example, some establishments state that they will take 100% of the booking in the case of last-minute bookings or during busy periods... You therefore have the right to do so, provided you have informed your customer in advance.

  • After agreement from your customer (whom you will have contacted by e-mail or telephone)

  • In the event of cancellation of the booking by your customer, if it is stipulated in your general or special terms and conditions of sale that you have the right to charge cancellation fees

  • In the event of a no-show by the customer: depending on your terms and conditions of sale, you may or may not deduct cancellation fees
