Unlike a gift card which can be applied to offers and/or options, a gift voucher represents a value expressed in euros which the beneficiary (in this case a customer) will be able to use to make a booking.
The customer wishing to use a gift voucher must contact the service provider in order to create the booking file and mention the use of the gift voucher in question(except in the case where the service provider has a Magic subscription which allows the generation of a unique number for use of the gift voucher which can be entered into the online booking engine).
If the value of the gift voucher purchased is greater than the amount of the booking, you are not obliged to give change. In the opposite case, the customer must of course pay the outstanding amount.
It's also worth noting that a gift voucher necessarily has the full Prepaid redemption mode if a virtual Eftpos terminal is activated, regardless of the level of subscription taken out
Here's how to create your gift vouchers in elloha :
In the Main Menu (left-hand menu), click on Gift vouchers
Then click on Add a gift voucher
Set the amount of your gift voucher
Then click on Create
Define a validity period for your gift voucher: this period will be binding on the customer if they use this card for a reservation period or show up outside the dates you have set
Define the publication dates for your gift voucher
You can apply a tax to your gift voucher (a tax that you have defined in the relevant menu)
Then Save
And that's it! Your gift voucher is ready to be sold online! Good sales to you!
When customers visit your elloha booking engine, they will be able to personalise the text displayed on the gift voucher they are buying.
They will select the gift voucher of their choice and click the Buy button.
A window will open allowing them to personalise their text.
Once the personalisation has been made, the customer must click on the Save button. They will be able to add other gift vouchers and/or cards to their basket if they need to, or complete their booking.
On the reservation finalisation page, the customer will be able to view the personalised text and modify it if necessary.
Following confirmation of payment of the gift voucher, the customer will receive an initial email confirming their booking and a second email, specific to the gift voucher purchased, which they can give to the person of their choice.
On the elloha user side, from the reservation file for the gift voucher concerned, you will have access to :
personalise the text (link named Personalise),
the document relating to the gift card to be offered (link named Confirmation).
This access may allow you, at the request of the purchaser of the gift voucher, to make changes to the personalised text and to the orientation of the gift voucher.
