Detailed description of a Z cash register edition

Updated over 3 months ago

IMPORTANT: the elloha Cashier can no longer be activated from 12 October 2023.

The different till systems offer different levels of detail, but the information on the X and Z editions of the till is essentially the same.

Below is a detailed description of how to edit a Z cash register.

First of all, at the top of the page of this Z cash desk edition, you will find information about your establishment, the name of the cash desk concerned and data about the opening and closing of the cash desk (date, times and name of the person who opened and closed the cash desk).

The first block, Payments received (all types), shows you all the payments received during the period when the till was open, with a breakdown of the payment methods used.

mceclip2.png

Payments to come (all types) concern sales made for visits consumed on the same day but for which all or part of the payment will be made at a later date (e.g. a school makes a visit and pays the service provider later).

mceclip3.png

Refunds to customers represent the return of change for bookings. If a customer pays €100 for a booking of €80, a customer refund of €20 will be recorded in the Z of your till.

You will not currently be able to view the breakdown of the means of payment used to make these returns: for the moment, this breakdown is only displayed when using the iPad version of the till.

This cashier section only concerns cash. Cash payments for the day and change given are added to the opening cash float.

The Withdrawal for discount line corresponds to the difference between the opening cash float and the cash float you define for the next opening.

A service provider may decide that his cash float should remain the same every day of the year, but if it is higher when the till closes, he may decide to deduct this "excess" amount in order to remain consistent with his cash float management rule.

The Cash desk error line will display an amount when there is a difference between the cash float calculated by the cash desk system and the actual cash float (see below for an example of a cash desk error).

Sales collected in full are recorded in the block below.

mceclip8.png

Cancelled sales are also included in your Z edition.

mceclip9.png

Partial collections on future bookings are also notified in the Z edition.

mceclip10.png

Below, you will find data relating to the partial or total payment of reservations recorded before today's date which have already been used or which correspond to a future activity date.

mceclip11.png

This block represents cash receipts recorded in your till for bookings made on the internet or booked via another till (if you have created several tills for different vendors in your elloha account).

mceclip12.png

Any discounts granted to your customers and the amount of VAT collected on your receipts for the day are shown in the Z edition.

mceclip13.png

Various breakdowns are shown in your Z edition, such as the breakdown of sales made by the salesperson in charge of the till (sales or reservations made without collection on the day are not, of course, shown in the Z edition of the day's till).

The amount of sales entered in the breakdown by salesperson may be different from that in the breakdown by resource and by formula, as the salesperson may have collected sums from past or future sales.

The mechanism is identical for the other breakdowns shown below.

IMPORTANT: normally, the amount in the breakdown by resource should be identical to that in the breakdown by formula. If this is not the case, there is an error.
