Integrate Whatsapp and Messenger into your Magic site

Whatsapp and Messenger are very popular messaging applications that many people already use. Integrating these messaging links into your Magic site allows you to communicate directly in real time with web users and, of course, your future customers. This can be useful for responding quickly to their questions.

By integrating these links, you make communication more accessible to a large number of visitors. Indeed, many customers prefer to communicate via instant messaging applications rather than by email or telephone.

In this article, we will show you how you can quickly and easily integrate these messaging links into your elloha-generated website.

This functionality is available for Basic and Magic subscriptions.

To activate the Whatsapp link on your Magic website

  • Click on the Website menu, Configuration submenu, Modules tab

  • Activate the Whatsapp module

By default, the mobile number displayed is the one entered in your Description menu. You can enter a different number in the field for this messaging module.

You can check that the mobile phone number attached to the Whatsapp account in question is the one entered in the Description menu, General tab, Means of communication block.

  • Once the module has been activated, don't forget to click Save (top right of the page)

From a mobile phone, customers can immediately go to your Magic site to contact you and chat via Whatsapp. The logo of the instant messaging application is visible at the top of your website and a link called Contact Us preceded by the Whatsapp logo is visible at the bottom of your website and in the Contact menu.

By clicking on this conversation link, the customer will be able to start an exchange with you and the discussion will take place via this messaging system. Of course, the customer must have downloaded this application on their mobile. If they haven't, they will be asked to do so.

A customer who is on your website via a computer will also be able to communicate with you via Whatsapp messaging. They simply need to download the web application (if they haven't already done so): a page will open for this purpose.

To activate the Messenger link on your Magic site

  • First of all, make sure you have a Facebook account enabling you to use this messaging service and download the Messenger application if you haven't already done so click here

  • Click on the Website menu, Configuration submenu, Modules tab

  • Activate the Messenger module

  • Enter the required 16-digit ID

  • Don't forget to click on Save (at the top right of the page) to finalise your activation

Here's how to get the ID:

  • Go to your Facebook profile

  • On the left, in the Other tools section, click on Meta Business Suite

  • Select the Messaging menu, then the Messenger submenu

  • Click on Settings on the right-hand side of the page, then View all settings

  • Click on the Chat Plugin menu, then click on the Configure button

  • Select Standard

Then follow the suggested steps:

Step 1: select the language of your choice then click on Save and continue.

Step 2: Enter the domain name of your website (e.g. www.nomdedomaine.com), not forgetting to include https:// . You can enter several domain names by clicking on the Add a domain button. Click Save and continue.

Step 3: You don't need to copy the suggested code. Simply copy the code located in the URL of your page and paste it into the field provided for this purpose in your elloha account. However, you do have to click on the Copy code button in order to go on to the next step.

Step 4: Confirm your settings by clicking Done.

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to click on the Publish button (at the bottom right of your page)
