New alternative payment methods

Updated over 3 months ago

You are familiar with traditional payment methods such as cash, cheques or bank cards. Today, alternative payment methods are increasingly used by your customers and elloha offers you the possibility of accepting them by activating the Stripe option. These are Giropay, Bancontact and iDeal.

IMPORTANT: activating these alternative payment methods requires you to define the Stripe payment method. We recommend that you use the full Prepaid payment method; any other method (partial Prepaid or Postpaid) will not guarantee you access to your bank details so that you can pay for the bookings concerned at a later date.

You will find details of each of these alternative payment methods below:

  • Giropay: payment is validated immediately. Stripe accepts this type of payment for German customers.

For more information about this payment method, click here.

  • Bancontact: payment is validated immediately. Stripe accepts this type of payment for Belgian customers.

  • iDeal: the payment is validated immediately. Stripe accepts this type of payment for Dutch customers.

These alternative payment methods will be deactivated by default in the Stripe option. You will therefore have the choice of activating all or some of these payment methods.

Don't forget to set the Prepaid payment method to full or partial.
