9 STEPS
1. You can first define your cancellation conditions offer by offer.
2. Select the room of your choice
3. Your cancellation conditions may be different depending on whether your customer is booking:
- at the Standard Rate,
- a Special Offer,
- or a Promotion.
4. You can even define different cancellation periods and penalties for each of your offers.
5. For the same room, your customer will therefore see 3 different price offers.
What's more, they will see that you also offer specific cancellation conditions.
6. As their first choice, your customers will see the lowest price.
They will also see that the offer must be paid for at the time of booking. Finally, they will see thatthe offer cannot be cancelled.
7. Secondly, the customer will see a more expensive offer but with more flexible payment terms. Above all, they will see that the offer can be cancelled with a fee.
8. Finally, the Standard offer gives them more freedom. Your customer can cancel it free of charge. And they don't have to pay anything at the time of booking. The downside is that they will pay a higher price.
9. With elloha, you give your customers more choice and increase your chances of getting bookings!
Here's an interactive tutorial
First of all, here's an explanatory video on the subject:
Now that your booking engine is displaying its general terms and conditions of sale, you may want to apply different conditions to your offers, Special Offers and Promotions. These are special conditions of sale.
For example
Reservation of a room at the Standard Rate may be cancelled
Reservation of the same room as a Special Offer will be cancellable but with cancellation charges
Reservation of the same room under the Promotional Offer will be non-cancellable
In conclusion, the same product (the same room), 3 different prices for the same booking day ... but 3 completely different sales conditions.
When setting up your Offers, you can define special sales conditions:
Offer by Offer
by Standard Price
Special Offer by Special Offer
Promotion by Promotion
To create and modify your special sales conditions:
Click on Offers in the Main Menu
Select the desiredOffer
Then click on the"Standard Prices","Special Offers" or"Promotions" tabs
Declare that the offer is cancellable in the Cancellation Policy paragraph
Define the cancellation fee rates and your different brackets: enter 0% for periods when you do not wish to apply fees. An example of a cancellation policy is displayed by default for your standard offers.
Save your page
IMPORTANT: you have the option of deleting all the lines relating to the amount withheld according to the cancellation date in order to start from scratch. Make sure you have completed all the fields on a line before clicking on the "+" button to create a new line.
These indications (cancellable or not) and the cancellation fees will be shown :
in the booking engine, on the details of the offer
in the booking engine: when you finalise your booking, by clicking on View general terms and conditions of sale,
in the voucher ( confirmation document sent to the customer in PDF format)
on thebooking payment screen, where the amount to be deducted from the customer is automatically calculated according to the rate and the date on which the customer cancels the booking.
