Defining the up-sell e-mail model

This tab called E-mails, located in the Upsells menu of your elloha account, allows you to define the e-mail template sent to Internet users as part of an upsell.

When you click on this tab, you will see that the screen is divided into 2 parts:

  • On your left, the form you need to fill in to set up your e-mail (title, automatic e-mail trigger, text, etc.),

  • On your right, the preview of your e-mail sent to your customers.

The form you use to create your e-mail, as part of an upsell, is made up of several fields to complete:

  • The first text field allows you to define the name of the sender of the e-mail. This field is filled in by default with the name of the establishment,

  • A second text field is dedicated to defining the subject of your e-mail. By default, this field displays the following sentence: " We look forward to welcoming you!

  • The next field allows you to define the title of the button used to access the incentive offer from this upsell email. By default, the wording is as follows: " See the offer",

  • A date field allows you to define the validity date of the offer proposed in this up-sell e-mail,

  • A field allows you to define the number of days before the arrival of the customer that triggers the automatic sending of the email. A second field allows you to define the time at which the e-mail is sent, and will only accept integer values between 0 and 23.

You are asked to enter the email address to which you would like to receive replies from your customers.

Next, a drop-down list allows you to choose the customer name used at the beginning of the email template. There are several values to choose from:

  • First name, which will give a name like "Hello John" (the "Hello" will be automatically translated into the language of the email). This is the default value.

  • First name and surname: this will give a name such as "Hello John DOE". If only the last name is entered (no first name), there will be no name: just "Hello".

  • No personalisation, just "Hello".

Finally, a text field allows you to define the body of the upsell email template, with formatting options available.

By default, the following text is displayed in this text field:

" We look forward to welcoming you very soon. At the same time, we'd like you to take advantage of a very last-minute offer that could make your stay with us even more extraordinary."

IMPORTANT: don 't forget to confirm your settings by clicking on the Save button at the top right of the screen.

Once this form has been completed and set up, the preview of the e-mail template displayed on the right of your screen allows you to see what the customer will receive.

Additional elements are included in this preview, such as :

  • Your establishment's logo,

  • A reminder of the customer's reservation (dates of stay, number of people, name of the service and reservation file number) will appear below the descriptive text,

  • A " Contact us" block containing the establishment's telephone number, e-mail address and website.

NOTE: Make sure you have activated the By E-mail switch before the customer arrives, in the Sales Rules tab, so that the e-mail can be sent to the customer.
