From 1 July 2023, Google Universal Analytics (UA) will gradually disappear to make way for a new version: Google Analytics 4.
From this date, UA will gradually no longer be supported, so websites will need to migrate quickly to Google Analytics 4.
The main difference between Google Analytics 4 and previous versions lies in the way data is collected and organised. GA4 focuses on measuring user interactions on a website such as the one offered by elloha or our booking engine, focusing on events and conversions rather than page views.
Instead of relying solely on cookies, Google Analytics 4 uses an approach based on unique user identifiers, enabling more accurate and consistent tracking of users on a platform like elloha.
Google Analytics 4 also offers new features such aspredictive analytics, which uses machine learning to provide insights into future trends, and theintegration of data from mobile and web applications into a single report.
In summary, Google Analytics 4 is an enhanced version of Google's website analytics platform, offering a more event- and user-centric approach, as well as new features for tracking and analysing user interactions on a website like elloha's Magic site and on our booking engine.
