Display issues on your website or your elloha account: essential checks

Updated over 3 weeks ago

When you notice a display issue on your website (changes not visible, page not displaying correctly, missing information), it is important to follow a precise method, in the correct order.

In the vast majority of cases, the issue does not come from elloha, but from the browser or the device being used.

Browsers recommended by elloha (important)

We strongly recommend using only:

These browsers offer greater stability and reliability than others (Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera, etc.), especially when making changes (prices, content, settings).

The procedures below are therefore detailed only for Chrome and Firefox.

For more information on this topic: Which browser should I use for elloha?

Step 1: First check

Make sure that:

  • your changes have been saved, and

  • you have refreshed the website.

If there is still no visible change after this step, in the vast majority of cases:

  • the website is working correctly,

  • but your browser is displaying an older version of the page.

It is therefore essential to perform these basic checks before any technical manipulation.

Step 2: Test on a recommended browser

If this is not already the case, open your website or your elloha account using:

  • Google Chrome, or

  • Mozilla Firefox

Step 3: Test on another device

Open your website or your elloha account from:

  • a mobile phone, or

  • another computer.

✔️ If the display is correct, the issue does not come from elloha.

Step 4: Test in private browsing mode

Private browsing allows the page to be displayed without using stored data (cache).

On Google Chrome

  • Click on the three dots in the top right corner.

  • Click on “New Incognito Window”.

  • Open your website or log in to elloha.

On Mozilla Firefox

  • Click on the menu (three horizontal lines).

  • Click on “New Private Window”.

  • Access your website or your elloha account.

✔️ If the display is correct in private browsing mode, this confirms that the issue comes from the cache.

Step 5: Clear the cache (only if the issue persists)

The cache is a local memory that can prevent recent changes from displaying.

Clear cache on Google Chrome (follow this link)

  • Click on the three dots in the top right corner.

  • Click on “Settings” or “Clear browsing data”.

  • Go to “Privacy and security”.

  • Click on “Clear browsing data”.

  • Check “Cached images and files”.

  • Confirm.

Clear cache on Mozilla Firefox (follow this link)

  • Click on the menu (three horizontal lines).

  • Click on “Settings”.

  • Go to “Privacy & Security”.

  • In the Cookies and Site Data section, click on “Clear Data”.

  • Check “Cached Web Content”.

  • Confirm.

Step 6: What if the issue is still present?

If, after all these steps, the issue is visible:

  • on multiple devices,

  • on Chrome and Firefox,

  • in private browsing mode,

then you can contact elloha support, specifying:

  • what you see on the screen,

  • which browser you are using,

  • which device you are using.

Important notes

  • An issue visible on only one browser or one device does not indicate a malfunction of elloha.

  • Non-recommended browsers may display unexpected behavior.

  • Basic tests must always be carried out before clearing the cache or requesting a technical investigation.
