To create a Sports Activity Offer (Pure Activity or Equipment Rental), you need to create :
resources: these are the equipment or ticket types you wish to offer for sale or hire. By defining each type of resource, you can easily monitor their occupancy level in your schedule (see below). For example, for a bike hire company, these are the types of bike they have available (Adult bike, Child bike, etc.). Similarly, for a canoe hire company (2-seater, 3-seater, etc.). Conversely, if you mainly sell tickets, these will be the types of ticket you wish to sell to your customers (Adult tickets, Child tickets, etc.)
In this example, the resources are the types of bikes. Below, the resources are the types of tickets offered by the aquarium. Like
packages: these are the actual commercial offers. They combine the resources of your establishment that you wish to sell. For example, for a bike hire company: the bike is the resource, but "1-hour hire" or "3-hour hire" is the package. And you can associate all the 'bike' resources of your choice with this package. For example, you can define a "3-hour hire" package reserved exclusively for "Adult bikes + Teen bikes" resources and not for "Children's bikes".
In the example above, the package is "1-day hire": it can combine several resources, i.e. all the types of bike you offer for hire.
Below, the packages are the itineraries offered by the kayak hire company, while the resources are the types of kayak offered as part of these packages (1-seater, 2-seater, 3-seater, etc).
