Enter the Standard Price for a Hotel, Gîte or Chambre d'Hôtes

Updated over 3 months ago

If you had to define just one price for your rooms, it would be the Standard price:

  • This is the reference price for your room, known as the Rack Price in hotel jargon, because it is the basic price, the public price, the going rate; in short, the price that is displayed in your brochures or on the forms placed behind the doors of each room

  • The Standard Price is used as a reference when you create a Special Offer or Promotion: €100 instead of €120 (€120 being the Standard Price, in this example)

There are two ways to create the Standard Price:

Create the Standard Price from the Offer page :

  • In the Main Menu, click on Offers

  • In the Your Main Offers page , select the offer concerned

  • Then click on Modify Prices

You must indicate how your price is to be calculated by the booking engine:

  • per person :

    • This means that your room, for example, is sold at €100 for an adult and €20 for a child

  • per room:

  • by combination:

    • This means that your service is sold according to the number of people occupying your room:

      • The price is fixed for 1 Adult

      • But also for 2 Adults

      • Or for 1 Adult + 1 Child

      • Or for 2 Adults + 1 Child (or 2 Children, etc ...)

  • It's up to you to determine your price combinations according to your age groups and the people you welcome in your accommodation. Be sure to specify at least one child age group if you choose this combination pricing system (otherwise the engine will not be able to calculate your rates):

Depending on your choice (per person, per room), your price entry table will change automatically.

Please note that if you decide to synchronise these offers with your Booking account, only the maximum rate will be taken into account during mapping, as indicated in this article from the Booking knowledge base.

Your Standard Price is therefore a combination of a price :

  • fixed per room or per person

  • multiplied by a number of nights or weeks

You can also define additional criteria to manage your rates even more finely:
