Thanks to the Macron law of August 2015, it is now possible todisplay prices on your own website that are different (and more attractive to Internet users) from those you send to your distribution partners such as Booking, Expedia, Tripadvisor or Airbnb via the channel manager functions of elloha.
For the record, France was the first country to ban price parity clauses with this law, and other EU member states have subsequently followed suit, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland (Geneva region), the Czech Republic and Hungary.
SmartConnect is now available for all elloha accounts with a Connect or Magic subscription level, in all countries. It is then up to you to check whether or not the country in which you operate applies the same rates to sales made by distributors(OTAs) such as Booking, Airbnb or Expedia.
Here is a video explaining the subject:
You will find below the procedure for adapting the settings of your prices to the distributors with whom you are synchronised:
In the main menu, click on Schedule,
At the top right of your schedule, click on the SmartConnect button,
A window will open inviting you to define the price differential you wish to display between your booking engine and the major distribution channels concerned by SmartConnect(Booking, Tripadvisor, Expedia, Airbnb, Google, VRBO/Abritel, Leboncoin/Locasun and trivago),
You can define this price difference as a percentage (%) or as a value (€), as you wish,
Elloha will then send your standard, special and promotional rates to these sales channels, applying the price supplement you have entered in SmartConnect.
Note: you can also send your inventories of different availabilities to the channels concerned by following this article.
