Description: Your Introductory Article
Your introductory article is one of the key elements of your marketing strategy, as it appears:
on your booking engine,
in the booking confirmation documents.
For accommodation-type accounts, keep in mind that the main goal is to attract customers to your geographic area. Therefore, avoid going into too much detail about your specific accommodations (that should be done in the "Offers" tab), and instead highlight what visitors can do nearby — such as museums, scenic walks, well-known restaurants, etc. You should also mention practical conveniences in the vicinity, like grocery stores, tourist offices, or public transportation.
That said, don’t hesitate to mention a few appealing features of your establishment to encourage guests to book with you rather than elsewhere.
For activity-type accounts, feel free to describe in detail the different activities you offer!
Please note:
This section introduces the interface used to write your articles. This interface is the same for:
Your Main Description, i.e., the one for your establishment,
The Description of Your Offers (rooms, activities, workshops, etc.)
To create your article:
Click on Description in the Main Menu,
Click on Article in the newly opened page,
Enter your Title — it's essential to make a strong first impression!
Then complete your article with your text.
Some tips to enhance your article:
Write short sentences: one idea per sentence.
Keep it simple: put yourself in your customer’s shoes and give them the essential information right away. Then expand — the first few lines are the most important.
Bold key terms: select the text and click on the "B" in your text editor (see above).
For SEO purposes, mention frequently (but not excessively — Google may penalize overuse) the name of your town, your establishment, and the category in which you operate.
Finally, if you want to attract an international audience, you can easily translate your article into all the foreign languages you wish.
